Startup with Purpose was started by university students learning to become entrepreneurs. In the summer of 2016, several members of the founding team inadvertently got caught up in global affairs when they became victims to a terrorist attack in Nice, France. Entrepreneurship gave us a new purpose, and Startup with Purpose is our effort to help other people like us find theirs.
Our goal is to facilitate a student led movement around the world and use entrepreneurship, teamwork, and innovation to combat challenging social problems. We intend to do this by hosting a bootcamp in Amman, Jordan, in a region where it most matters – where we bring together investors, startup educators, mentors, students, and entrepreneurs from a plethora of backgrounds, to ideate, form teams, and build products that solve challenging social problems. Our first week-long start-up bootcamp is in June 2017 and we strongly encourage all aspiring entrepreneurs, students and refugees to apply to the program, and Startup with Purpose.
